Ensuring Clean Water for a Healthier Future
Waterborne diseases pose a major health threat in the Newly Merged Area (FATA). The lack of clean drinking water has resulted in numerous illnesses and hardships for local communities. To address this, WCHR is implementing a large-scale water supply initiative.
Access to clean drinking water is a critical issue in Newly Merged Area (FATA). To combat waterborne diseases and improve health conditions, WCHR plans to establish 700 dug wells and water tanks across the region. This initiative aims to provide sustainable and safe drinking water, reducing medical expenses and enhancing the quality of life.
Challenges in Water Access
Contaminated Water Sources: Most available water sources are polluted, leading to outbreaks of waterborne diseases.
Lack of Infrastructure: Many villages have no proper wells or water tanks, forcing people to walk long distances for water.
Impact on Women & Children: Women and children often bear the burden of collecting water, reducing their time for education and economic activities.
Objectives of the Initiative
Improve Public Health: Reduce waterborne diseases by providing access to clean drinking water.
Sustainability: Develop long-term solutions through the construction of wells and water tanks.
Economic Relief: Minimize medical expenses by improving water quality and hygiene awareness.
Water Conservation Education: Promote water-saving techniques to ensure long-term sustainability.
